BON Summer Camping Trip - Anyone interested
Just throwing a few ideas around at the moment but thought it might be a laugh if we sort out camping trip somewhere this summer.
Anyone interested?
Doesn't have to be a regular hosted event such as Storming the Castle or Farmyard. Could be one we've arranged ourselves or a more lower key event. I know my dad (veteran biker extraordinaire) goes on camps all the time - ok so one of them is in the middle of Wales in February, I'll pass on sleeping out in THAT! There are loads of events all over the place though we could tap into or simply organise and start our own.
We can arrange dates, places etc once we have enough interest, so... copy and paste the names below and add yours to the ever growing list of who's up for it.

That thought had crossed my mind tbh. Strapping my shit to the back of my new baby ain't drawing pretty pics. Was a lot easier on the Bandit

Some of us went camping at Dent Music Festival last May - it was a bit wet and just a trifle muddy

Not mine either Ade - small tent, muddy field, wet clothes and gear. However, the company was fab and we made the best out of the bad weather. See the pics here:

Looks like my idea of hell, tbh. I was there for half an hour when the YBF lot camped there, but it was hot and sunny then. I nearly crashed my car into an ambulance on the single track road into Dent, captured on video from the camera on my bonnet, lol.

Thats the thing with camping - if the weather is good its ace. If it rains its living hell.

t**ts!
I'd go camping but only to a place where there won't be 5,000 beardy folk fans with undisciplined children and will be showers and a phone signal.
Some folks I know are going here in June. http://www.dalesbridge.co.uk/
You can camp or use a bunk house. I'm just deciding whether I'm going or not at the mo.

There WERE showers Bubbz and I'll have ya know I shave my beard every morning
Camping might be the only jollies we'll get this year cos we've two weddings (my daughter next week and Yorkie's son in June) which have taken all the pennies.

Are they going for anything in particular Bubbaz or just as a base for some biking adventures?

They're some from the bandit owners club I used to be in. It's the Yorkshire section. They're ok and I think some of the Scottish lot might go too who're a sound bunch. Down side, there may be the odd southern whinging tart.
I'll find out a bit more soon.

Only trouble is, no pub nearby but alright for camping, fires and roads.

Once a year's enough for me. Different in a car where you can throw everything and the kitchen sink into the cavernous boot (and just chuck it all back in at the end without having to repack tents, sleping bag etc), but just a pain in the arse trying to get all that gear on a bike, even if the weather is kind. Wouldn't work at all on Striple, bugger all space and nothing to fasten anything to.

I enjoy camping so much, I'm going to go tomorrow for a couple of days.
This is proper camping. Mini Bubbz and me camping in Aviemore 2010. The blue tent on the left.

They're going on the weekend of the 8th-10th June and stopping on the 8th and 9th. Rideout on the Saturday.
If you're interested in a bunkhouse, camping or caravanning, use the dalesbridge link HERE to book yourself in. We're camping it but some are bunking and one is taking a caravan.

having just been to Into the Valley and suffered a -5C overnoight temperature, woke up at 6am to find an inch of frosy on the tent I can safely say I will not be camping again until the weather gets a tad warmer.
Got Scotland in 6 weeks but in bunkhouses so should have some level of comfort at least, of course theres always the rain getting there......
