Barton Bike Night...

I just wondered if anyone plans on heading over to Barton Bike Night on Wednesday 3rd July? its 5pm till 10pm, more details can be found here...

nice one, i have never been, see what interest it gets and we can work out details closer to the day. i am going to mention it to a number of friends too, see if they are up for it. It looks like it could be a fab eve.

Maybe from me too. went last year.
Just my opinion, I think it was over rated, I enjoyed it as it was an evening out on the bike, with friends, but once walked round a few streets looking at bikes and all the food stalls i had had enough. (easily bored hehe)

I'm with Rotty on this one. A little bit over-rated so think I will give it a miss this year.

I go every year and never found it to be a problem you ether like it or you don't. Pleas don't spoil it for them that do.

It's the same every year but if weathers good it's a great evening ride out if you avoid the motorways.

I have never been, one of those things you got to experience... :)

For all them that have never been before bearing in mind its a mid week event between about 4.30pm and 5.30 pm you have to contend with all the commuter traffic. So be careful and have a good night

well its a bit closer to the time, was thinking of meeting people at squires, setting off from there around 3ish so there is enough time to get over to Barton the scenic route and parked up.

Well I did have a client booked in so was going to get her to change her appointment to another day but now I have to go to Ella's school for a meeting between 7-8pm  and she has an orthodontist appointment just before 3pm so its a no go for me unfortunately

Thank you Gavin, yeah been through a rough time with trying to find work.  I got some work at Harewood house but I wanted to get back into driving HGV and I have signed up to 4 agencies.  Plenty of work coming my way now but I have a bigger problem now!  Where is the Flipping SUN?  Have weekends to get my weekly rest and I am desperate to get out on the bike!

Ok Pearl, sorry Chocomintz... some guys i know are meeting at leeds university steps at 4pm to ride over, using the motorway, might be a quick ride by them, not sure... I would sooner use the scenic route and enjoy the ride, use the motorway back...

I'm not using the motorway, might make my own way over on the A18, still dependent on a few things...

Will go wash the bike and see if these rain showers bugger off.

I'm still curious where you're gonna find a scenic route to Hull, lol.
