NEC bike show, which day is best?
NEC
Who wants to go to the bike show at NEC?
I am thinking if we get numbers we can car share, go as a group and have a good day out together.
I was thinking weekend days are going to be rammed, so week days be better if folk can book day off for it. But will put two weekend days on the vote.

Re: NEC
Last time I went (2009) it was utter shite, luckily I'd only paid a fiver for a trade ticket, I went on trade day (they used to have a trade only day the day before it opened to the public that was always much quieter. and parking was free), and you could do the whole show in an hour, it was so small. Not been back since.
I'd consider going if I had a car full of people to split the petrol and parking costs, but certainly wouldn't go down on my own again. You can do Milan show for not much more money.

Re: NEC
You can get a 10% discount if booking more than 15 tickets, according to the website.

The 25th is my only day off out of all that list
Still can't confirm that I will be there, there's stuff going on both with the court thing and work that might get in the way.

My better half our son and I will be going on the 25th as long as work does not get in the way, but will not book any tickets until nearer the date.

Mr Pong. I have found out that if you wait until the last sunday which will be the 2nd they have loads and loads of bargains. Sergio apparently got lots of bargains as they slashed prices about 4pm on the last day.. so seriously thinking about switching days..

Re: NEC
Swings and roundabouts - by the last day you'll be much less likely to find what you want, but if you find it then maybe it'll be cheaper. The days of wide scale real NEC bargains are long gone though - years ago the organisers decided they wanted to make the NEC more like the prestigious european shows (i.e. for manufacturers, not retailers), and have been forcing out the small traders since with ever more crazy costs - the organisers don't want halls full of small stands selling cut price clothing, they want big shiny corporate exhibitors. Most of the time there's nothing much there that you can't get for the same price the rest of the year, especialy with the growth of internet retail (which didn't exist back in the days of NEC bargain fests).

Neither would I, lol, hence they're for sale. Got them as a present for someone, but circumstances changed. Ladies size 12 (they're labelled a euro 44, but Dainese sizing is odd, they fitted a size 12 who tried them on).

Re: NEC
Why not have a garage sale. If we all squeeze in there I'm sure it'll soon warm up.
Then I can try on some boots and a charger.
We could all bring a bottle and turn it into a Christmas party.

I forgot about the boots and charger. Still got the charger, will check re boots in your size.
You wouldn't have much room to party in my garage, lol. You could wedge about three people in (another two if their waist was no wider than mine - I can just squeeze between the Bandit and StripleR to get into the small space between the Speed Triple and piles of other stuff), but gave my right calf a hefty smack on the Bandit footrest the other day, and have a bruise to show for it.

Looking for around £500 for them (they're £640 to £680, depending where you look), but I don't think they'll fit you, Gaz
